Richard Rhodes, MD specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, knee, and hip. Dr. Rhodes has a special interest in shoulder and knee dislocations and ligament repair. Dr. Rhodes is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. Dr. Rhodes attended UT Southwestern Medical school and completed his residency at the Fort Wayne Medical Educations Program in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Upon completing additional training in arthroscopy while serving as Chief for the Sixth Air Mobility Wing and U.S. Special Operations Command, he trained with two of the country’s top shoulder surgeons at Tampa General Hospital. He also served as team physician for the Special Operations Parachute Demonstration team. Dr. Rhodes has served as a team physician for multiple professional and amateur sports in DFW. Dr. Rhodes has cared for athletes from the WNBA, IFL, NFL, Dallas Jr. Stars, WTA tennis, MMA, and Professional CrossFit, and countless high school, college, and amateur athletes. Having attended undergrad at Texas A&M University, he loves cheering for the Aggies. He is also a fan of Texas high school sports, the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Dallas Cowboys.
